Maddow was appalled when Republican leaders opposed an independent commission to investigate the Capitol riot -- and thrilled when Tim Ryan took his bold stand against this Republican cowardice.

Despite Republican opposition, the House passed a bill to create a bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6 riot.
But now it heads to the Senate, and Maddow is confident Republicans will filibuster it. That means it’s dead on arrival:
