Republican-held state legislatures around the nation are passing sweeping voter restrictions that unfairly target people of color, young voters, and other marginalized groups. They’re even going so far as to make it illegal to give food or water to people waiting in line to vote!

Recent voter suppression bills passed in key swing states like Georgia, Texas, Arizona, and elsewhere should be a wake-up call for Democrats in Congress! We can take steps to protect voting rights and fight back against GOP voter suppression nationally by putting the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act on Joe Biden’s desk for signature.

Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the influence of dark money have all played far too great a role in our nation’s elections, and we must act NOW to protect our democracy before it’s too late.
