A night of learning, discussion and action about children's mental health We are less than a month away from our next 25th anniversary celebration -- a conversation with Taraji P. Henson! This is Part 1 of our 2021 Helping Children Soar Benefit, with Part 2 coming this fall. Join us on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 for a candid discussion with Ms. Henson, a DC native, about mental health and the impact of trauma, the pandemic, and systemic racism on Black children and youth. We are proud to honor Ms. Henson as a 2021 DISTINGUISHED CHILD ADVOCATE for her tremendous work through the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, which she founded in honor of her father with the goal of eradicating the stigma around mental health issues in the African-American community. THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE. Sponsors and ticket buyers will receive a link to join the event via Remo, an interactive virtual platform. Pre-event networking begins at 6pm EDT, followed by the program and live Q&A with Ms. Henson at 6:30pm EDT. There will also be an opportunity for post-event networking. Click here for more information about sponsorship opportunities or to purchase tickets today. The program, minus the networking and live Q&A, will also be available at 6:30pm EDT on www.helpingchildrensoar.org. We look forward to seeing you next month!
