The Alliance for Youth Action is joining over 1,000 brands, nonprofits, government agencies, and cultural leaders in the first-ever Mental Health Action Day. We're encouraging and empowering young people to take action for their mental health while amplifying the need to address the many barriers and challenges that young people face in accessing mental healthcare. Young organizers are working around the clock to build just and safe communities. It’s important that we have systems in place to be able to prioritize our mental health. Staffing Updates:
After four years working non-stop to support the Alliance Network, Jacque Grimsley left the Alliance in late April. She’s now serving in an exciting new role as Chief Operating Officer at Priorities USA. Jacque came to us from one of our badass network organizations, New Era Colorado, and led us through an epic scaling of revenue, disbursements, staff, and supporting affiliates in all things operations and finance. As we moved into 2020 with the largest budget and national staff in our history, Jacque joined the Executive Team to ensure we had what we needed to thrive by managing the Board and operations team as well as leading annual planning and evaluation. We will miss Jacque, but we can’t wait to see her continue making an impact in the progressive sector.
[[link removed]]Join us as we congratulate Amit Mistry on his promotion to Deputy Executive Director of Network Strategy. In his new role, Amit will manage the data and program teams and help guide the network forward as we head into 2022. Amit has done an excellent job since joining the team last April as the Senior National Data Director. In that role, he excelled at building relationships with stakeholders, supporting data needs across the network (including building a department), helping to develop our voter contact program, and more. We look forward to seeing Amit grow in his new role!
