Here at No Dem Left Behind, it's so important to us that our grassroots supporters feel like part of the team — so we wanted to personally introduce ourselves to you!

***MEET THE TEAM***

Richard Ojeda II - Spokesperson
Richard served a long and decorated career in the U.S. military and is an emerging political figure in Democratic politics. Following his military career, Richard was elected to the West Virginia State Senate in 2016, and two years later, ran for Congress in WV's 3rd Congressional District. Although he did not win the heavily Republican district, he did receive 44% of the vote — 32% more than the Democrat in the previous race. In 2019, Richard launched a daily webcast, Ojeda Live. Richard has three children and has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 24 years.

Hassan Martini - Executive Director
Hassan founded No Dem Left Behind in the Winter of 2019 with one goal: to support candidates running for Congress in rural America. He saw an opportunity to help Democratic candidates in rural America become more competitive by helping them gain access to the resources they needed to win. As a campaign operative, Hassan has worked on dozens of campaigns from state legislature to Presidential, knocking on doors and talking directly to voters. When he is not organizing, Hassan enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and hiking the great outdoors.

Adrienne Kirschner - Communications Director
Adrienne joined No Dem Left Behind after serving as the Deputy Digital Organizing Director on the Biden for President / North Carolina Democratic Party 2020 coordinated campaign. Previously, she was the Deputy Digital Director for Organizing Together 2020 – North Carolina and the Director of Development for a California-based non-profit, Center for Youth Development through Law. Adrienne recently relocated to North Carolina with her husband and two children. When she’s not working, she’s reading, solving puzzles, or exploring the coast and mountains.

We're a scrappy but effective grassroots non-profit team who is fully committed to our mission of elevating Democratic voices in rural America. Each of us joined No Dem Left Behind because we believe that by electing Democrats at every level across the country, we are putting people in power to facilitate the change we want to see.

Our staff is small, but we are growing! We're looking forward to bringing more talented folks on board for the upcoming 2022 cycle. And we're so glad to have YOU, our grassroots supporters, as an integral part of our movement.

Thanks for being a part of our team!
- Richard, Hassan, and Adrienne
