Celebrate European Youth Week!
Hello John,
I hope you're keeping well.
As part of our European Youth Week celebrations, NYCI and Léargas will host an event to explore this year's theme "Our Future in Our Hands":
Minority Voices Shaping and Creating our Equal and Inclusive Future ([link removed])
This free online event is open to young people aged 16+.
It takes place next Wednesday, 26 May from 18:00 – 21:00.

John, please share this event with young people you work with or those in your network you think may be interested.
One aspect of the event we're really excited about is that NYCI’s Making Links Network members will run 3 workshops at it looking at:
* ‘Wellbeing and reflection’ led by Anjali and Abiola, founders of Racism on the Couch who will also talk about setting up their organisation
* ‘Environmental justice starts with me - bringing an anti-racist lens to climate action’ led by Nadia and Kelvin
* ‘The power of storytelling’ led by Dikhsha and Megan
If you have any questions on next Wednesday's event, just drop me a line.
All the best
Anne

P.P.S. There is also an interesting IHREC/DCU study on issues facing second-generation minority ethnic young people ([link removed]) coming up that you may be interested in sharing.
