Team - I recently introduced my legislation to
ban "ghost guns."

"Ghost guns" are weapons that are assembled at home using kits.
They don't come with serial numbers and are virtually
untraceable, opening up a massive loophole in our gun laws.

My legislation would classify ghost guns as what they are -
dangerous firearms - and mandate that the manufacturers and
distributors of these kits operate under the same regulations as
those who produce and sell completed firearms. Gun kits must
include a manufacturer's license and serial numbers on the weapon
components, and anyone who buys a kit must undergo a background
check.

Team, what do you think? Do you agree that
Congress should act to appropriately regulate "ghost guns?"

President Biden recently unveiled six executive actions to save
lives from gun violence, including a proposed rule to help stop
the proliferation of ghost guns. But he's going to need Congress
to act to make these efforts permanent.

That's why I introduced the Untraceable Firearms Act, to close
yet another glaring loophole in our gun laws and save lives. But
ending gun violence in this country will require a comprehensive
approach - so I'm urging the Senate to pass H.R. 8 to require
universal background checks and H.R. 1446 to close the
"Charleston Loophole" immediately, alongside my new bill.

And I'm asking for your thoughts too, team. Do
you think Congress should consider my legislation on ghost guns?
