This is serious, folks.

The Supreme Court, with a 6-3 majority could allow the powerful to do what they want, while standing against the will of the American people, just announced they will take up a major abortion case that could roll back Roe v. Wade.

Sign my urgent petition right now demanding the Supreme Court uphold abortion rights. We must raise our voices and ensure the Supreme Court knows the American people will fight for the right to choose.

Anti-choice Republicans in Washington have been plotting this move for decades. All over the country, abortion opponents have passed a barrage of unconstitutional laws with one aim — challenging Roe v. Wade in the hopes that a conservative Supreme Court would take up the fight.

In this case, Mississippi Republicans passed a law that bans abortions after 15 weeks, with limited exceptions. Advocates standing up to the right-wing legislature say that is too early for people to save enough money and make the trek to the single abortion clinic in Mississippi.

Here’s the bottom line: The decision about whether or not to have an abortion should be made between a woman and her doctor. Folks across the country should have the right to a safe, legal, and accessible abortion. Period.

It’s a disgrace that we’re on the front lines of this battle once again. This is a direct threat to people’s health and safety. Sign my petition demanding the Supreme Court uphold Roe v. Wade and abortion rights.

We cannot move backwards. Colorado was a leader in legalizing abortion — six years before Roe v. Wade. I will always fight for reproductive justice and to ensure everyone has safe and legal access to the healthcare they need.
