Each day, the House GOP descends further and further into fascism.
Republican members of Congress have always tried to downplay the role they played in the Capitol insurrection. But in recent weeks, they have been escalating their dangerous rhetoric and going on an all out media blitz to gaslight the American people. Now, Georgia GOP Representative Andrew Cylde has said that the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol, the very foundation of our democracy, were on just a “normal tourist visit.”
It's beyond clear that the GOP doesn't want the full truth of the January 6 insurrection to be exposed. GOP leaders are at best complicit and at worst supporters of that still recent dark day in American history.
But with Democrats in power, we have the power to fully investigate the events of January 6 and expose and prosecute insurrectionists and those who support them. Now, we need YOU to join our grassroots army as we ramp up pressure on Congress to give Merrick Garland the funds and legal teeth to fight back against assaults on our democracy.
