Friends - The NRA is in deep trouble.
A federal bankruptcy judge just dismissed the NRA’s effort to declare bankruptcy on Tuesday—ruling that the NRA had not filed for bankruptcy in good faith.
According to NPR, The NRA filed bankruptcy to “evade New York officials seeking to dissolve the organization.” And in the words of New York Attorney General Letitia James, the state of New York “sued the NRA to put an end to its fraud and abuse.”
While the NRA is filing bankruptcy claims, they’re also spending millions of dollars trying to make sure we don’t pass universal background checks in the Senate.
If anything, the NRA’s deceit in filing bankruptcy proves that the NRA is not an honest organization. They hold their own interests above the lives of Americans.

Look, the NRA is not trustworthy.
Not only are they trying to evade legal consequences for their financial schemes, but they’re using fear tactics and false advertising to confuse Americans and try to stop decades of progress on gun safety. Their priority is money, and our priority is saving lives.
So, while the NRA spreads lies and files bankruptcy to evade the consequences of its own malfeasance, we’re doing the work to make our communities safer.
Together, we will pass universal background checks and eliminate the NRA’s influence over Congress, while doing honest work and listening to Americans.
