Hi friend,

It’s long past time to address the racial disparities facing our country.

One of the areas where we see striking inequalities is in health care. Black moms are three to four times more likely to die from childbirth. It’s a crisis we can’t ignore.

That’s why I am so proud that a new campaign in my home state of Mississippi is organizing to win a people-powered ballot initiative to expand Medicaid here -- a step that would mean major progress towards racial justice in health care.

But it’s going to be a tough campaign. I know how hard it is to win and make progress here in Mississippi, and I know the special interests are ready to spend big against us.

Can you contribute today to Healthcare for Mississippi? Winning Medicaid expansion in Mississippi would be a major victory towards racial justice in my home state, and would mean so much to me and my fellow Mississippians.

Over the past year, racial injustices and inequalities have become more apparent than ever.

And we saw record numbers of Americans -- Black and white, young and old -- take to the streets to demand change and to say that Black Lives Matter.

Now, though, we have to follow through on that call. It’s time for action to make progress against racial inequality across our country.

That’s what the Yes on 76: Healthcare for Mississippi campaign is all about. It’s a people-powered campaign organizing to win health care for hundreds of thousands of Mississippians, to cut through the partisan noise and make real change.

Plus, it would be a significant, tangible step towards reducing the racial health care disparities in our state.

I know they can win -- but they’ll need your help to respond to the attacks and get it done.

Please, make a contribution to Healthcare for Mississippi today to help win this groundbreaking campaign in my home state. It could be one of the most significant steps towards racial justice in Mississippi in a long time.

Together, I know we can win in Mississippi and show the nation that folks everywhere are ready for change, especially in red states.

Thanks,
Mike Espy
