IWPR President named one of Fortune Magazine's World's Greatest Leaders
In an extraordinary honor this week, IWPR’s president and CEO C. Nicole Mason was named one of the world’s greatest 50 leaders by Fortune Magazine.
“In truly unprecedented times, each stepped up to make the world better, and inspired others to do the same.”
She joins soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe, the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Arden, voting rights champion Stacy Abrams, Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, and tennis great and racial justice advocate Naomi Osaka, among many others.
Nicole made this year year’s list, for all that she has done to draw attention to the She-cession and for her longtime advocacy for policies that would address its underlying causes.
“I am honored to be doing meaningful and impactful work in these extraordinary times alongside these greats. I am most proud of the work we have done this year to center the most vulnerable and impacted during the Pandemic,” said Mason.
“We have armed advocates and policymakers with the facts they need to make the compelling case for childcare for all and for paid leave and for higher pay and better job quality for women workers,” she said.
