I’m writing today to share some exciting news: People First is endorsing Melanie Stansbury for New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District.

Melanie will fight to build a people first future, and we’re doing everything we can to help her turn out voters ahead of her June 1st special election. Can you help us get Melanie across the finish line and into Congress?

If you can, please split a donation between her campaign and People First to help elect Melanie and a new generation of progressive leaders. We can't do this without you. [[link removed]]

Melanie is a lifelong New Mexican who grew up in a working family that often struggled to make ends meet. She has been a key fighter in her state’s battle to end hunger and homelessness as a state representative.

Melanie is also an expert in drought and climate resilience, and will champion efforts to tackle climate change in a way that centers working people and communities of color.

But Melanie’s opponent is a millionaire who is loaning himself hundreds of thousands of dollars to try and buy this seat. It’s the most any Republican has spent in the district in many, many years — and last time New Mexico’s 1st district held a special election, Republicans won.

Please, split a donation between Melanie’s campaign and People First today. Early voting is already underway, so we have no time to waste. [[link removed]]
