John,
You may have heard a lot of Georgia and the anti-voting bill they passed after our democratic movement took the White House – and the Senate – back from the GOP strangulation. But what got swept under the rug is many other states who have introduced – and some have passed – similar bills that are a gross violation of our rights.
Arkansas. Montana. Iowa. Kentucky. Arizona. Texas. And Florida.

We have to put an end to this monstrosity now . Help us stop Ron DeSantis – and his enablers, especially Marco Rubio – by making a contribution to our efforts to protect democracy. [[link removed]]
In a move that was low, even for repulsive Ron, he signed the bill yesterday, live on air on Fox News, shutting out every other media outlet. Here’s what that means for Florida voters in any future elections:
* Limiting voting by mail ballots to only those who actively request them and only for the election cycle they are requested for.
* Limiting ballot drop boxes to be only available when elections offices and early voting sites are open, and strictly supervised.
* Requesting one or more identification.
* Requiring people offering voter assistance to stay at least 150 feet radius away from polling places.
* Allowing partisan election observers more power to raise objections.
* And so much more.
These awful laws are nothing more than a way to limit historically marginalized, especially communities of color, from voting.
All this despite touting how smoothly Florida’s elections ran in November. So much for transparency to protect the integrity of our elects, huh Ron?
We can’t let the saturation of these egregious bills from state after state cripple us. It’s a lot of movement backwards. Decades, even. So much so that some are calling them the Jim Crow 2.0 laws.
We cannot let people who cite unfounded claims of voter fraud steal our elections. We must fight back. Make a contribution and join us. [[link removed]]
