Team,
Last week, the government released the first results from the 2020 Census. States like Texas, Florida, and North Carolina were allotted additional House seats. States like California and New York are LOSING seats.
Here’s where the news gets dire, all: In Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and many other GOP-controlled state legislatures, Republicans will run the redistricting process, meaning that they can easily draw maps that favor Republican candidates.
Experts now estimate that Republicans will pick up 3.5 House seats in 2022 from reapportionment and redistricting alone.
We have a fight ahead of us to overcome the historical and gerrymandered headwinds blowing ahead of the 2022 midterms. Will you rush a donation today to help Democrats hold the House majority, no matter the outcome of these redistricting fights?

Partisan gerrymandering creates deep red and deep blue districts, allowing extremist politicians to be elected in primaries and silencing the majority of voters. Republicans are already passing bills to restrict voting rights and make it harder to cast a ballot – and partisan gerrymandering is yet another tool in their voter suppression toolbox.
Democrats currently hold a narrow majority in the U.S. House. With experts assuming Republicans will draw districts that automatically give them 3.5 new House seats, the fight for a Democratic House majority in 2022 could come down to a small handful of toss-up races.
Will you rush a donation to save our House majority so we can keep up the progress we’re making with the Biden-Harris administration?
Thank you,
– Cicilline 2022
