The GOP is attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election by falsely claiming that 40k ballots were smuggled from southeast Asia. They're now even looking for “bamboo fragments” in ballots to prove it.

We wish we were joking. Not only is this Trump-inspired conspiracy theory deeply racist -- particularly at a time when the U.S. has seen a dramatic increase in anti-Asian hate crimes -- but it's also another unprecedented step in the GOP's dangerous attempt to erode faith in our democracy.
