Nevada Senate Democratic Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro JUST introduced the Nevada Option, a state public health insurance option.

This proposal would offer a government-sponsored, entirely optional health care plan to all Nevadans. The goal is to provide affordable, good-quality coverage to those who either can’t afford private health insurance plans, or who don’t qualify because of things like preexisting conditions.
