Here’s why: Last month the NRA launched a $2 million campaign to stop commonsense gun safety measures. The news also broke that an NRA-backed Second Amendment case is going to be heard before the Supreme Court.

We have a lot on the line right now. Universal background checks can be voted on in the Senate any day now. But the NRA is doing everything they can to stop our progress and unravel decades of lifesaving gun safety measures.

So we need your help, Friend. Can you make a $5 donation to Giffords PAC? We’ll put your contribution to work right away in our efforts to urge the Senate to pass universal background checks.

We’re in a great position to pass universal background checks. We have a gun safety majority in both the House and Senate, and a president who has pledged to take concrete steps to end gun violence.
