We just needed to send you a quick note and update you on our end-of-April fundraising numbers. It's bad.
As you can see, our fundraising numbers took a nosedive in the last few days of April, which is bad enough already, but it happens to be part of a larger pattern of steadily declining fundraising numbers since inauguration day in January.
We know that this isn't what you want to hear, and it's certainly not what we wanted to have to report to you--especially after you and so many others went above and beyond in last years election and then AGAIN for the Georgia runoffs -- but now is not the time to sugarcoat things.
Republicans are pulling ahead in their fundraising hauls and too many Democrats are taking their foot off the gas despite the historic nature of the moment we find ourselves in. And if we can't keep up, we can say goodbye to our Democratic majorities.
We're nowhere close to hitting our daily fundraising goal of $15,000, but with your help in this fight, we can refuel efforts to make change across our entire slate of initiatives. Efforts to help us retain our Democratic majorities. Abolish the filibuster. Push back against GOP insurrectionists and their efforts to restrict voting rights. To help ignite Stacey Abrams' gubernatorial run. And to pass President Biden's historic agenda through Congress.
