The first 5 years of a child’s life set the foundation for a lifetime of learning.


And yet, nearly 5 million children under the age of 5 live in poverty in the U.S. and the majority don’t have access to high-quality early childhood programs that could dramatically improve their future—programs like Educare.


We built Educare Chicago, our first early childhood school, in 2000 and now we partner with other early childhood champions to develop schools in communities across the country. Educare teachers and staff are helping to build a brighter future for children living in poverty by providing high-quality early education to under-resourced communities. Through their hard work and dedication, these educators are changing the course for our youngest learners—and that’s something that benefits every single one of us.
