Check out the latest from NYGOP Volume 12 | May 1st, 2021 This Week at the NYGOP Follow Us On Social Media! Dear John, President Joe Biden gave his address to the joint session of Congress this week and despite his lofty promises of unity, his speech offered anything but. In his first 100 days, he has governed as a radical partisan and his speech to Congress offered more of the same expensive, socialist wishlist that will destroy American jobs, threaten our security, and trample on our freedoms. Here in New York, after learning this week that we would be losing another congressional seat due to NY's population drain, the trouble for the corrupt Cuomo cabal deepened further. An explosive New York Times report offered even more evidence and details to the great lengths the corrupt Cuomo administration went to in order to hide the true nursing home death toll. While we are working hard to hold this governor accountable, the Democrats in the legislature continue to protect him from impeachment. Catch up on all the details in this week's edition of the NYGOP weekly newsletter. We value all of your feedback and questions! Don't forget to hit the button below and send in any questions you may have for Chairman Langworthy and we will feature one in next week's newsletter! NYGOP Team Ask a Question! Question from Last Week: From Mary: Why are we hearing nothing about the investigations into Andrew Cuomo? Answer: This is actually a question many New Yorkers have been asking, including calls from Republicans and a few brave Democrats in the state legislature. We already have enough evidence to warrant the impeachment of this corrupt governor, yet Assembly Speaker Heastie and far too many Democrats in the legislature are protecting him--even standing with him at his propaganda-style events. I have said from Day One that the Assembly's investigation was a sham--designed to buy him time to try and recover from these scandals and hope New Yorkers move on. We need your help to put pressure on the legislature. We're urging all New Yorkers to call your legislators and demand justice for his victims. Watch: NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy Blasts NY Legislators for Defending Corrupt Abuser Cuomo On Thursday, NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy was in Syracuse to blast the Democrat Legislature, Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli, and Senator Rachel May for protecting and defending corrupt abuser Andrew Cuomo. The time is NOW to impeach this criminal governor and hold him and his corrupt cronies accountable for their actions. We couldn't agree more! He did a masterful takedown of Democrats' big lies on everything from racism to our education system to our economy. Senator Scott offered a clear-eyed and unifying message about what makes America the most exceptional nation on the planet. He laid out a powerful argument for the Republican principles that have empowered all Americans, regardless of race, creed, color, gender, or zip code. Cuomo CNYCentral New York Republican Committee Chairman Nick Langworthy came to Syracuse on Thursday to "blast" the Democrats on the New York Legislature including Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli for "protecting Governor Andrew Cuomo with a sham impeachment." Langworth said in his press conference, "If I were Cuomo I'd be hiding from the media as well. He has chosen to lie every single time." Langworthy talked about the ongoing controversy related to COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes. "They rewrote the nursing home report to cover up their mistake and released a phony whitewash report to the public to dissolve Andrew Cuomo and his team of all of their wrongdoing," Langworthy claimed. "The elaborate coverup cost New Yorker's lives, plain and simple." Read Full Here Andrew Cuomo’s elected enablers need to quit it New York Post Just days after standing beside Gov. Andrew Cuomo at a Yonkers event, state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins repeated her call for the gov to go … after critics called her out. But she couldn’t take back her words at the Yonkers PAL Center, publicly thanking the gov for “the work that we did on this budget.” Had she forgotten that she asked for his resignation back on March 7, citing the endless allegations of sexual misconduct, a toxic work environment plaguing the executive chamber and his scandalous handling of COVID-19 in nursing homes? She’s not the only hypocrite. Last Thursday, state Sen. Todd Kaminsky (D-Nassau) and Assemblywoman Judy Griffin (D-Rockville Centre) — who’ve both called for the gov to step down — joined Cuomo at an Earth Day ribbon-cutting on Long Island. Cuomo’s office to obscure the pandemic death toll in New York nursing homes was far greater than previously known, with aides repeatedly overruling state health officials over a span of at least five months, according to interviews and newly unearthed documents. Mr. Cuomo’s most senior aides engaged in a sustained effort to prevent the state’s own health officials, including the commissioner, Howard Zucker, from releasing the true death toll to the public or sharing it with state lawmakers, these interviews and documents showed. Today, Langworthy acknowledged the party must follow that calendar. But the goal, he said, is to back a single candidate by early summer in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2 to 1.
