The guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial demonstrated some necessary accountability — but we know there can be no real justice for George Floyd, whose life was stolen by white supremacy and police brutality. In solidarity with the Movement for Black Lives and Black leaders in the reproductive justice and racial justice movements, NARAL is committed to fighting for freedom and equality for every body. Racism is a public health crisis, and preserving a culture of white supremacy has always been central to the anti-choice movement. We know there will never be reproductive freedom until there is freedom from tyranny and oppression.

The Biden-Harris Administration

The first 100 days of the Biden-Harris administration are behind us and while there’s much to celebrate, it’s clear that reproductive freedom remains in peril. We MUST hold the administration to its promise to fight for reproductive freedom and demand they release a budget that robustly funds its commitment to reproductive freedom and excludes discriminatory restrictions on abortion like the Hyde and Helms Admendments, denial of care policies like the Weldon Amendment, and other attacks on our reproductive freedom.

Tell the Biden-Harris administration that the president’s budget MUST protect and expand reproductive health care for every body!

Combatting Disinformation

Republicans in Georgia recently passed  a voter suppression bill targeting Black voters and other communities of color following the GOP’s losses in 2020. This anti-democracy bill and other bills like it are based on electoral disinformation amplified by actors on the Right, including the anti-choice movement. That’s why NARAL and our members are fighting back and making our voices heard — we’ve sent over 63,000 text messages and made nearly 10,000 calls urging senators to support federal legislation protecting voting rights. Read more about the anti-choice movement’s anti-democratic efforts.
