Imagine it’s January 3, 2023. Kevin McCarthy is taking the Speaker’s Gavel and swearing in a new Congress with a Republican majority.

Their priority is to stop Joe Biden’s agenda for the final two years of his term and roll back as much progress as they can. They go after voting rights, affordable health care, reproductive freedoms, and efforts to mitigate climate change...

When Donald Trump was elected president, Democrats came together to fight his radical agenda. We marched, signed petitions, and invested money. I was even inspired to run for Congress against one of Trump’s biggest allies in Congress, Elise Stefanik.

Thanks to your hard work, Democrats now control the House, the Senate, and the White House. But that doesn’t mean our work is done. It’s just beginning. Republicans are ready to take back the House, and experts say they have the advantage.
