Team, I just arrived in Washington for Joe Biden’s first joint address to Congress.

From the vaccine rollout ramp-up to fast dissemination of stimulus checks after the passage of the American Rescue Plan, these first 100 days of the Biden administration have reminded us all what is possible under steady, dedicated leadership. I’m excited to hear more about the president’s plans for the rest of the year and to get right to work on a progressive agenda.

But team, the truth is that we have to keep the House blue in 2022 if we want to continue our momentum for all four years of Biden’s first term. Without a Democratic House and Senate, the Biden-Harris agenda will be stalled from Day 1.

History isn’t on our side here – the party in the White House rarely keeps control of Congress in its first midterm. So we need to fight for our majority starting right now, and we can’t afford to lose a single seat if we want to keep the House blue.
