Congressman Louie Gohmert Endorses Susan Wright for Congress
Arlington, TX — Susan Wright, Republican candidate for the May 1st special election in Texas' 6th Congressional District, was endorsed today by Congressman Louie Gohmert (R, TX-01).

"It is my great honor to support Susan Wright for Congress in Texas' 6th congressional district," said Congressman Louie Gohmert. "Susan is a proven leader Texans can trust to lead in the fight to secure our border, protect the right to life, defend our Second Amendment, and stand up for our conservative values in Washington. She, like her beloved late husband & my friend, Ron, adheres to the same rock solid conservative beliefs, and knows Congress is now fighting to save our republic from socialist authoritarians. I am looking so forward to Susan being in Congress where she will serve the 6th district and the country with great valor."

Congressman Gohmert's endorsement follows those by President Donald J. Trump, the Republican Party of Texas, Club for Growth, Susan B. Anthony List, and Congress Members Andy Biggs, Chip Roy, Elise Stefanik, Jodey Arrington, Kay Granger, Lance Gooden, and Troy Nehls. Susan has also garnered the support of many local, conservative officials including Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn, Tarrant County GOP Chair Rick Barnes, and State Representatives David Cook, Matt Krause, Stephanie Klick, and Tony Tinderholt.

"I am so glad Congressman Louie Gohmert is in the trenches with me along with so many strong conservative leaders in this race," said Susan Wright. "I'm honored to earn Rep. Gohmert's endorsement and look forward to working with him to bring genuine conservative change to Washington."

Susan Wright is the widow of the late Rep. Ron Wright. She has been active in Texas politics for decades, serving members of the state legislature, as committeewoman for the State Republican Executive Committee, and on numerous boards in TX-06.
