Friends, did you know that 77% of contributions to our campaign are $25 or less?

That’s exactly what we hoped for when we launched. These small-dollar donations empower our campaign to stay true to our values, organize effectively, and build a campaign that we can all be proud of.

As an organizer, I know how much these grassroots donations mean to the people who make them and how much they mean to me. I also know the difference they make. Strategically, they also offer another way to fund campaigns besides relying on megadonors and special interest groups.

It’s just like the New York Times reports: “small online donations— in $5, $10 and $25 increments — have given Democrats [...] an alternate source of money beyond the super rich.”

We’re organizing around the principles of love, hope, empathy, and results. Our winning message is catching on -- but we’re still only about 40% of the way to our April goal.
