Over the next few days, my team and I will be reaching out to you with some important requests. Timing is important here, so can you give me a minute to explain?

April was an important month for us here at Giffords. We installed a memorial to remember victims of gun violence on the National Mall. We’ve been working hard to pass background checks in the Senate. And now, we just got news that the Supreme Court will hear the first Second Amendment case since Justice Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed.

This Supreme Court case is extremely important. The NRA wants the Court to weaken concealed carry laws, which would allow more guns in public and endanger public safety.

We plan to go toe-to-toe with the NRA to make sure they don’t get their wish, but it will take a lot of resources to do our part in this new fight.

The overwhelming majority of the donations we receive come from lots and lots of people like you giving small amounts of money in response to emails like this one.
