This week we received some of the best news so far in 2021 — Joe Biden is doing an amazing job winning over youth voters! 

According to a new Harvard Youth Poll, President Biden has an approval rating of 59% among voters aged 18-29. 56% are hopeful about the future — including 72% of Black youth and 69% of Hispanic youth. 

Even more amazing than those numbers — 80% say they are likely or 50/50 going to vote in the 2022 midterms, and 69% disapprove of the Republicans' job performance in Congress.

The numbers speak for themselves. The youth vote, one of the fastest growing voter blocs in the coutnry — largely responsible for our victories in Georgia in the presidential and U.S. Senate elections — is with Democrats. 

But we risk losing their hope and enthusiasm for progress if we cannot continue to pick up seats in the House, hold onto our majority in the Senate, and for Georgia's youth, win the Governor's seat and retake the state legislature. It is up to us to point these galvanized youth voters in the right direction and educate them on who to vote for so we can make their hopes a reality.  

The Georgia Blue Project's election strategy focuses primarily on Democratic youth and voters of color in rural areas of Georgia, educating them on how to register to vote and who specifically to vote for in their districts. This strategy worked for us during the 2020 elections and it can work again, but not without the necessary funds and support from our fellow Democrats seeking change.
