Run for Something

Hi John,

Today's Run for Something Podcast WILL have you wishing you lived in Sacramento -- I met with City Council members Katie Valenzuela and Mai Vang for a very feel-good episode with the city's own "squad."

Katie is a housing activist that ran and defeated an incumbent in 2020 despite being outspent 3 to 1. Not long after, organizer Mai Vang joined her, the very first Asian American woman to join the council.

The two have built a beautiful friendship and, in just a few months, revolutionized politics in Sacramento.

Listen in as they explain how they won, the "Squad" they've cultivated, and the progress they've made >>>
