G.O.P. Bills Target Protesters (and Absolve Motorists Who Hit Them)

The GOP are targeting protesters in their latest attempt to block justice. These bills are a direct response to the protests that swept the nation and helped ensure Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all charges.

Republicans are scared of our power because they know that when we organize together — we bring change.

One of the worst offenders is Gov. Ron DeSantis, who just signed into law one of the harshest bills Florida has ever seen. This bill would:
  • Turn current misdemeanor offenses into felonies
  • Make taking down a Confederate monument a 15 year jail sentence
  • Protect those who drive into protesters
