Folks, I need to make sure you saw this. A leaked legislative draft revealed that Ohio Republicans are putting together a voter suppression bill even worse than Georgia’s.

Columbus Alive: Ohio election bill would ax day of voting, require more ID. '[A draft of new legislation] reveals Ohio Republicans are just as eager to suppress the vote as their counterparts in other states.'

I’m not going to let them silence Ohio voters without a fight. If you’re with me, I need you to be one of 20,000 people to sign my petition and stand strong against voter suppression.

In case you missed it, here’s what the bill will do:

  • Require voters to provide TWO forms of ID to vote absentee or early
  • Eliminate ALL ballot dropboxes
  • Cut the most popular day of early voting
  • Ban pre-paid postage for mail ballots

Let’s be clear: there was no election fraud. 2020 was the most secure election in American history. Extreme Republican officials are just trying to make it as difficult as possible to vote because they didn’t like the results.

This won’t be easy. But the more of us who speak up now, the better our chances of winning this fight.

So, Tell Me -- are we going to let them silence Ohio voters?
