[1]Bowman for Congress

John,

Whether you've been with us since our primary campaign in June 2020 or
just joined our team yesterday, you're an important member of Team Bowman.
So, we wanted to share a transparent update with you about how our
campaign is doing.

Earlier this month, we shared that we hit our Q1 2021 fundraising goal.
But this month, our fundraising performance is coming up short. In fact,
with where we currently stand, April is looking like it's about to be our
worst month of fundraising this year.

This isn't the update we wanted to share, but we're doing so because we
believe in being straightforward with you,
John — even if it isn't good
news. And with 2022 midterms coming up next year, we need to use this time
to really build our base, grow our movement, and show the world that our
grassroots movement has what it takes to keep up the progressive fight in
Congress.

[ [link removed] ]We have a lot of ground to catch up on before the end of the
month, John,
which is why we're asking right now: will you chip in $3 or
whatever you're able to our campaign?

Jamaal has been in Congress now for a little over 100 days, but the
political establishment is already making their plans to take back some of
their power in the halls of Congress.

In short, the establishment is hoping to see our momentum slow down and
fizzle out — and if we can't keep up and post strong grassroots
fundraising numbers, it could signal to them that our movement isn't as
strong as they once thought.

And John, we
simply can't afford to slow our fundraising down now — not when the
political establishment is paying close attention. Jamaal doesn't take
donations from corporate PACs and lobbyists, and the money we raise
through emails like this one is the same money that ensures that 100% of
Jamaal's time in Congress is spent legislating and working for our
communities.

[ [link removed] ]So, will you chip in $3 or whatever you're able to our campaign right
now, John?
Together, we can get our fundraising back on track before the end of the
month, and continue to prove to the political establishment that our
movement is strong, and that we're not going anywhere.

In solidarity,

Jamaal Bowman for Congress
