This November, the nation’s eyes will turn toward Virginia as we vote to elect our next Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General, along with our Virginia House of Delegates.

Ours is just one of three states in the country with a gubernatorial election this year, and it’s absolutely critical that we send another Democrat to the Governor’s office come November.

When you look at all of the incredible progress Virginia has seen over the past two years since gaining Democratic control of both the General Assembly and our statewide offices, it’s clear: We simply can’t go backwards now.

But despite our Commonwealth’s shift toward the Democratic party in statewide elections over the last few decades -- something Tim is incredibly proud of being a part of -- historical precedent suggests that a Republican could in fact win the Governorship.

Here's why: In Virginia, since the 1970s, the party that just won the White House has always lost the Governor’s race the following year -- with just one exception in 2013. 

Friend, we can't let that happen. Virginia has come too far to return to the days of Republican-dominated leadership in Richmond. So today, we're asking you to make a contribution of $10, $25, or whatever you can afford to support the Democratic Party of Virginia so our eventual Democratic slate is ready to win.
