The future of our economy, our country, and our planet

Today is Earth Day -- a day about protecting our environment and our precious natural resources for future generations like my grandson Charlie to ensure they can enjoy them the same way we do today.

But all of that could be at risk if we don’t take serious action against climate change soon.

Thankfully, President Biden proposed his ambitious new American Jobs Plan, which is focused on rebuilding our country’s roads, bridges, and economy while also addressing the climate crisis and building a clean-energy future.

OFFICIAL TEAM DUTCH POLL:
Do you support President Biden’s plan to rebuild our country’s infrastructure, revitalize our economy, and combat climate change?

President Biden’s American Jobs Plan would:
  • Rebuild our country’s electrical grid to make our communities more prepared for and resilient in the face of extreme weather events
  • Eliminate lead pipes to ensure clean drinking water systems
  • Build energy-efficient affordable housing
  • Invest in clean-energy technology and create green jobs
  • Put us on a path toward achieving 100% carbon-free electricity by 2035

So much of my time in office has been focused on efforts to protect Maryland’s environment and combat pollution and the effects of climate change -- especially the ways they endanger the Chesapeake Bay.

And now, I’m looking forward to working with the Biden Administration to execute this sweeping plan to attack climate change head on.

I want to hear your thoughts -- do you support President Biden’s American Jobs Plan and its efforts to combat climate change? Click here to take our poll >>
