It's always beautiful watching Fox News anchors squirm when Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg points out their hypocrisy. Secretary Buttigieg was recently on Fox News to defend and discuss the Biden Administration's $2.3 trillion infrastructure bill, and he did a remarkable job of dispelling the lies Fox News has been spreading about the bill.
But let's not kid ourselves, it's going to take a lot more than a few Sunday morning show appearances for the stranglehold Fox News has over political messaging in this country to go away. It's no wonder that the same Fox News talking points and propaganda are often regurgitated by GOP members of Congress. The network is not only manipulating American viewers -- it's also providing rhetoric to GOP “leaders” who then further obstruct progress. But we can start to chip away at Fox's influence by simply standing up against them.
