Fox News is again attacking the Green New Deal after Senator Ed Markey and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reintroduced the bill in Congress yesterday. The conservative propaganda network is spreading more and more outlandish lies about the Green New Deal, such as:
- The Green New Deal is a “thinly veiled socialist takeover of the U.S. economy.”
- The Green New Deal would “destroy the American dream, create American nightmare”
- America would be “poverty stricken” and would turn into a “Third World.”
- States would be “more susceptible to power outages” like the one Texas had in February.
Of course, excellence and Fox News have never gone hand in hand. But lies and white supremacist talking points have found quite the comfortable home on Fox, and we need YOUR support to help overcome their media machine -- especially as it takes aim at the Green New Deal.
