Folks-- It’s time to modernize our primary elections.

Nevada is a CRITICAL battleground state, and we can expect that to hold true in 2022 and 2024.

That’s why I’m advocating for Nevada to be the FIRST state to vote in the Democratic primaries.

Iowa and New Hampshire have had outsized influence in our primary elections for many years -- and the significance placed on the outcomes of these primaries give a false perception of what's happening around the country.

The Democratic Party is more diverse than ever before, and we need a primary process that is more reflective of our base.

Nevada represents the very best of this country. 1 in 4 Nevadans are immigrants, and almost a third of our electorate is Asian American, Latinx, or Black. And from union members to climate activists -- we are an evolving progressive arena that is fighting to tackle our country’s biggest challenges.

The electoral map is changing, and we need to change with it.
