Friend, Major League Baseball recently announced that it would be moving the All-Star Game and MLB draft away from Atlanta, Georgia after the passage of the so-called "Election Integrity Act." Major League Baseball could have easily stayed silent, but instead chose to do what is right over what is easy.

The new GOP law:

Creates stricter voter ID requirements
Limits early voting
Eliminates most ballot dropboxes

Republicans across the county have been persistent in their efforts to suppress voters of color, and Arizona is no exception. Arizona Republicans are still disputing the results of the November election, and are using the Georgia laws as a template for their voter suppression.

Their efforts, however, will not come without any victims. The Election Integrity Act cost Georgia millions of dollars in tourism revenue, and is a devastating blow to working people who rely on it. If the Arizona state legislature passes a similar law, Arizona’s economy could also suffer.
