House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy actively supported Donald Trump while he was separating families at the border. He was complicit in the Trump administration's most inhumane immigration policies -- and now he wants us to believe he's a humanitarian.
McCarthy's entire Twitter feed is loaded with attacks on Biden's “inhumane border crisis” and warnings of thousands of “terrorists” invading our country. Even though a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson explicitly said: “encounters of known and suspected terrorists at our borders are very uncommon…”
Republican hypocrisy, xenophobia, and racism is nothing new. What's concerning is that the GOP's number one hypocrite is five seats away from becoming House Majority Leader.
Listen we're doing everything we can to protect our most vulnerable Democratic incumbents, but we're still $1,472 short of where we need to be. Democrats struggle to build funds early on in the cycle, but our Republican counterparts aren't having that problem.
