We emailed you earlier today about Kevin McCarthy and his plans to retake the majority in the House of Representatives. In fact, he's openly saying he is already planning on being the new Speaker of the House.
That's how cocky he is that the GOP has the 2022 midterm elections in the bag. He thinks the road ahead is paved and ready for them to just saunter down and start pushing their far-right agenda.
It's on US to make sure that DOESN'T HAPPEN. We set a bold goal of raising $5,400 more today to take the fight to the Republicans, and the response from our supporters has been amazing. We're happy to say we've raised $2,178 toward that goal, but we still have a ways to go before we have the budget to do what we need to.
Kevin McCarthy isn't going to be scared away by a couple thousand dollars, unfortunately -- he only understands massive checks from his powerful friends that ignore the will of the people. So we need to match every dollar from Kevin McCarthy's dark money donors with a grassroots dollar to relegate his party to a permanent congressional minority -- and, if we're really successful, to send him into retirement disgraced.
