Donald Trump was recently asked who he sees as the future of the Republican party. His answer? Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

We're not surprised. DeSantis launched his campaign with a video teaching his toddler to “build a wall” and say “make America great again,” and it's been downhill ever since.

While in office, DeSantis has:

Refused to restore voting rights to formerly incarcerated individuals
Completely botched the state's response to COVID-19, fully opening the state early and leaving nearly 35,000 Floridians dead
Sent the police to silence scientists who advocated for transparency in Florida's COVID numbers
Most recently, he signed a bill that will make most forms of protest punishable by law

Just like Trump, Ron DeSantis has no issue trampling on our democracy for his own benefit. That's why in 2022, he's got to go.
