Yesterday, my lawsuit against the Daily Mail was dismissed. A judge -- not a jury -- ruled that circulating private, explicit photos of women without their consent, is "free speech." It is yet another reminder that we're working against a deeply misogynistic system that won’t change until we force it to.
If we don't take legislative action against cyber exploitation now, countless women will forgo positions of power for fear that their explicit photos will be circulated without their consent.
That's why we worked closely with Congressional leaders to include an amendment in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) that will make cyber exploitation illegal.
