Team: "We must fight for the future of our democracy."

Stacey Abrams has reminded Americans of that motto every day since the Capitol insurrection. It isn't a hyperbole to say that our democracy is under attack.

As of March 24, Republicans have introduced a total of 361 bills to restrict voting rights -- in 47 states. They're capitalizing on Donald Trump's Big Lie and the sea of misinformation they've created to sow doubt in our elections and justify silencing millions of Americans.

Donald Trump was able to weaponize that distrust to challenge the 2020 election results and leave our country in political uncertainty for weeks. He and his Republican allies doubled on their baseless claims to inspire thousands of extremists to storm our Capitol in a failed coup.

If we don't act now, that violence and misinformation is exactly what we can expect next year -- in the middle of Biden's presidency.

But Abrams knows we still have time. She spent years organizing thousands of Democrats across the country to flip Georgia blue -- and when Trump tried to throw out thousands of votes, she was able to stand her ground because she had an army of allies behind her.

We can build on that momentum and challenge the GOP's voter suppression laws in battleground states like Georgia. We can recruit powerful progressive challengers to unseat every single complicit Republican. And we CAN protect our earned majorities -- because our democracy depends on it.

But that's why we can't afford to miss our grassroots goals, there is no room for it. And we're still $3,812 short of today's goal.
