Republicans passed SB 202, a massive voter suppression bill, to make sure that Democrats never flip Georgia again. But thanks to Democratic organizing and grassroots support from people like you, Democrats fought back on key issues like weekend voting that would have disproportionately affected Black voters.
This is a significant victory, but it's just the beginning of the uphill battle to protect our democracy and our majorities in Congress from the GOP's voter suppression operation.
Stacey Abrams didn't mince words when she said that Jim Crow laws like these have worked before, and Republicans are “counting on it working again.”
“We know from recent elections in Georgia that the way to overcome voter suppression is to vote. We must hold Republicans accountable by voting them out.” Abrams was clear, and that's exactly what we plan to do -- but we need you with us.
