On October 2, 1835 the first military engagement of the Texas Revolution took place at the Battle of Gonzales. As a symbol of defiance, the Texans created a flag containing the phrase “Come and Take It” - a message sent to the Mexican government when they told the Texans to return the cannon defending the colony of Gonzales.

Today we celebrate the independence of Texas and the spirit born at the Battle of Gonzales with this Come and Take It t-shirt!
