Team –
Just days after the House passed universal background checks legislation, Americans were once again reeling from a tragic set of mass shootings. 8 people were killed, six of whom were Asian women, in Atlanta, Georgia. A few days later, 10 people were killed in a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado.
Now is the time for our elected leaders to take action to ensure that never again means never again. We can’t allow politicians who are being showered with money and support from the gun lobby to dismiss calls for action with “thoughts and prayers.”
The Senate must take action to pass H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and H.R. 1446, the Enhanced Background Checks Act, immediately. Will you add your name here if you agree?
Congress has not passed any common-sense gun reform policy in the last 25 years. The time is now to change that. Despite 90% of Americans being in support of universal background checks, action to implement them remains stalled.
The answer is clear: The Senate needs to take action and pass H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and H.R. 1446, the Enhanced Background Checks Act.
David and his colleagues in the House have already taken action – now, it’s on the Senate to do the same.
Will you add your name here say “enough is enough?”
Thanks for speaking up,
