Seven days. Seven deadly shootings. Multiple lives lost to an entirely preventable gun violence pandemic. It’s time to put an end to the warfare that continues to take innocent lives.

Floridians elected Marco Rubio to serve us. Instead, he took $3.3 million from the National Rifle Association in the face of gun-violence survivors. Floridians brought forth an initiative to ban semiautomatic rifles and shotguns. The initiative didn’t even make it to the ballot because the NRA lobbied so hard against it.

We’re tired of empty “thoughts and prayers” from spineless Senators who are so easily bought by killer organizations like the NRA.

It’s time to take the matter to higher courts and ban such heavy warfare from ever seeing the light of our streets.
