Less than two hours after a mass shooter walked into a supermarket and killed 10 Americans in a state she was elected to represent, Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert proudly sent a message to her supporters: “I told Beto 'HELL NO' to taking our guns. Now we need to tell Joe Biden.”

Even after witnessing the pain and grief of her own constituents demanding change, Lauren Boebert took to twitter to tell them universal background checks for automatic weapons are a “non-starter.”

She's not rushing to save American lives, so what does Boebert choose to focus on instead? Attacking immigrant families at the border and calling on her racist supporters to “chip in $20 to stop amnesty for 20 million illegals.”

The good news is Boebert already has someone working to unseat her -- and we can't think of anyone more prepared to stand against Boebert's bigotry in Congress than bold Latinx leader and organizer Sol Sandoval. Sandoval leads with the heart and an uncompromising compassion for her community. While Boebert was busy parading her love for guns, Sandoval spent the last week honoring the victims of the Boulder shooting and promising Coloradans that she will “work in service of those who need it.”

But women of color don't get the support they need in critical races like these -- and Sandoval is not the exception. While Boebert has been using her racist base to raise millions, Sandoval has been struggling to meet fundraising benchmarks and reach voters with her message.
