I planned to email you this morning with a short, urgent message about how we’re falling short of our FEC goal and why I’m hoping you’ll contribute anything you can before the deadline at MIDNIGHT.
But then I saw a headline that stopped me in my tracks:

This is really serious, John. It shows just how desperately we need to hit our FEC goal and why we need to do everything we can to protect the House majority.
Over the past several years, you marched, organized, and invested in Democratic campaigns across the country with unprecedented enthusiasm. You made it possible for Democrats to control the House, Senate, and White House. But it’s also up to us to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, I’m hearing from so many people that grassroots contributions to Democrats are drying up so far this year, and it couldn’t come at a worse time. We need to build a strong foundation now to withstand Republican attacks.
I started BACKROADS PAC to hold rural Republicans accountable by supporting their Democratic opponents. That mission hasn’t changed, but it’s getting more critical by the day.
Please, contribute anything you can before the midnight deadline to bring us closer to our first FEC goal and protect the House majority. Any amount makes a difference.
