Greetings Ward 8 Residents,

Last night, we met with the Faith-Based community on the issue of Public Safety. We heard from faith leaders that they would like to see some of the following included in the Public Safety Comprehensive Plan.
* Increase employment opportunities for young people and assist them with obtaining work-related documents;
* Create centralized hubs, networks, and locations for enrichment programs;
* Increase the presence of faith leaders and establishing a relationship with youth in the community; and,
* Assist parents who may be afraid of their children who are violent or exhibiting behaviors that are not safe for the community.

We had over 60 faith-based leaders during the virtual meeting who provided valuable information towards developing the comprehensive plan.

On April 8th at 6:00 p.m., we call on small business owners to offer their public safety input. Please join us by registering in advance at tinyurl.com/safeward8 ([link removed]) .

Regards,

Trayon White, Sr.
